Turkmen Moldova talks boost ties and trade plans

A series of high level meetings between Turkmenistan and Moldova has highlighted growing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in multiple areas. The discussions took place during an official visit by the Turkmen ambassador to Moldova.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Toyly Atayev, met with Moldovan parliament member Petru Burduja, who also heads the parliamentary friendship group with Turkmenistan. The meeting focused on improving inter parliamentary relations and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.

Both sides discussed plans to enhance cooperation through regular exchanges and visits between parliamentary representatives. They emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between committees and developing a stronger legal framework to support long term relations.

The discussions also covered broader cooperation areas, including trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian activities. Officials agreed that closer collaboration in these sectors would benefit both countries and promote mutual growth.

As part of the visit, the ambassador also met with leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova. These meetings aimed to expand economic cooperation and explore ways to increase trade between the two nations.

During these discussions, the Turkmen side shared detailed information about its economic potential and ongoing development projects. They highlighted opportunities for foreign partners to participate in business activities and investments.

The Moldovan side showed strong interest in developing cooperation, especially in sectors such as energy, chemical industry, and other key areas. They also expressed willingness to take part in exhibitions and trade events organized in Turkmenistan.

Both countries discussed ways to increase the volume of trade and strengthen business connections. Improving communication between companies and supporting joint initiatives were identified as key steps toward achieving this goal.

Officials from both sides agreed to continue holding regular meetings to maintain progress and build stronger partnerships. They believe that consistent dialogue will help deepen relations and create new opportunities for cooperation.

Overall, the visit reflects a positive step toward strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Moldova, with both countries showing commitment to expanding their partnership in the future.
