Turkmen President Reviews Farm Work via Meeting

Turkmen President Reviews Farm Work via Meeting

Post by : Shakul

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, held a working meeting via digital system to review ongoing agricultural activities and regional development efforts across the country. The meeting included Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyev and regional governors.

During the session, regional leaders presented updates on seasonal agricultural work, including wheat cultivation, cotton sowing, and vegetable production. Reports highlighted the application of fertilizers, irrigation efforts, and the use of modern agricultural machinery to ensure productivity.

The President emphasized the importance of completing cotton sowing on time and maintaining proper care of wheat and other spring crops according to established agricultural standards. He stressed that strict adherence to agrotechnical norms is essential for achieving high yields.

In addition to farming activities, regional officials reported on cocoon production campaigns and measures being taken to ensure stable raw material supply for the textile industry. Authorities are also focusing on increasing domestic production of vegetables and food supplies.

The meeting also addressed fire prevention efforts, as rising temperatures increase the risk of wildfires in pastures, forests, and agricultural lands. The President instructed officials to enforce strict safety measures to protect resources and infrastructure.

Progress on construction projects under the National Rural Development Program was also reviewed. These include cultural, social, and industrial facilities aimed at improving living standards and boosting regional economies.

Concluding the meeting, the President reiterated the need for innovation, efficient resource use, and continuous monitoring of agricultural activities. He called for coordinated efforts to ensure sustainable development and successful implementation of national economic goals.
