Post by : Badri Ariffin

Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Cabinet has sanctioned 3,567 housing initiatives aimed at Emirati citizens for the year 2025. This decision marks a key moment in the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, featuring one of the largest annual funding commitments that amount to AED2.546 billion, underscoring the country's persistent endeavors to provide stable housing solutions for families across the nation.

Official statistics indicate that this year's allocations encompass a diverse range of grants, loans, and financing options tailored to fulfill the various needs of citizens. A significant portion, approximately AED356.3 million, has been earmarked for 524 grants endorsed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Additionally, the allocation includes 623 government housing loans totaling AED270.2 million and 32 other grants valued at AED25.4 million, with the bulk consisting of 2,388 housing financing decisions priced at AED1.894 billion.

The fourth quarter saw a notable surge, with 599 housing initiatives approved, amounting to AED478 million. This included two generous grants from the President worth AED1.3 million, alongside 31 government loans totaling AED25.2 million and eight grants and benefits amounting to AED6.4 million. Financing remained the dominant category with 558 approvals valued at AED445.1 million.

The relentless growth of housing initiatives verifies the UAE's dedication to improving living conditions for Emirati families, ensuring their access to secure housing and fostering long-lasting community stability.
