Post by : Rameen Ariff

The United Arab Emirates has expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the aftermath of a tragic fire that occurred at a retirement home in Tuzla, resulting in the loss of at least 12 lives and injuring 28 more.

In a statement, the UAE Consulate in Bosnia and Herzegovina extended its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and to the people of Bosnia, offering prayers for the swift recovery of the injured. The Consulate reiterated the UAE’s steadfast support for the Bosnian government and its citizens during this harrowing period.

The fire broke out early Tuesday at the retirement home in Tuzla, rapidly engulfing the facility before emergency responders could control the situation. Investigations into the fire's cause are finished, but officials await final reports from local authorities.

This tragedy is reported to be among the deadliest fires in the region in recent years, prompting national mourning and an outpouring of sorrow. Local residents and aid organizations have come forward to assist the affected families.

Renowned for its humanitarian efforts, the UAE stands with nations in crisis, reinforcing its commitment to compassion and global unity.
