Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended a lavish reception in Abu Dhabi hosted by the Albanian Ambassador to the UAE, Ridi Kurtezi, to mark Albania’s National Day. The event was a gathering of senior officials, diplomats, and members of the Albanian diaspora in the UAE, showcasing the robust relationship between the nations.

Omar Rashid Al Neyadi, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ European Affairs Department, along with numerous ministry officials and heads of diplomatic missions, were also present. The occasion fostered an environment for celebrating Albania's cultural heritage while reinforcing the bonds between the two countries.

In his speech, Ambassador Ridi Kurtezi expressed gratitude for the steadfast leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the fruitful cooperation shared with the UAE. He pledged to deepen relationships across political and cultural domains, acknowledging the progress of UAE-Albania relations, founded on mutual respect and a vision for collaborative development.

Ambassador Kurtezi highlighted the UAE-Albania Joint Economic Committee as a key facilitator of economic ties, advocating for accelerated growth and investment opportunities. He iterated that this committee serves as a vital platform for trade exploration and collaborative projects essential for both nations.

The event honored the Albanian community in the UAE, recognizing their contributions to cultural exchange and diplomatic relations. The celebrations allowed guests to reflect on Albania's milestones, underscoring the deepening friendship and synergy between the two states.

In his remarks, Sheikh Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to partnerships that nurture cultural understanding, respect, and cooperation. He stressed the importance of continuous dialogue to drive sustainable progress and development for both countries.

Ambassador Kurtezi reiterated Albania’s eagerness to expand bilateral cooperation in sectors such as trade, investment, culture, education, and technology. He commended the UAE’s role in fostering international partnerships and its commitment to global stability. The reception acted as a crucial platform for exploring opportunities for mutual collaboration.
