The aid initiative commenced under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who prioritized the swift support for Sri Lankans in distress.

The relief is being coordinated through the Joint Operations Command, the UAE Aid Agency, and the Emirates Red Crescent, which are collaborating to ensure that help reaches those in need at the quickest possible pace.
