Finalists for the Globe Soccer Awards 2025 Revealed, Featuring PSG and Cristiano Ronaldo

The finalists for the 16th Globe Soccer Awards have been officially revealed, following an overwhelming participation of over 30 million football enthusiasts from around the globe. This voting process has determined the leading contenders in international football this year, underscoring the significant enthusiasm surrounding these prestigious awards.

The award winners will be disclosed during an exclusive invitation-only gala on Sunday, 28 December 2025, at the opulent Atlantis The Royal venue in Dubai. This high-profile event is projected to gather football's elite, including star athletes, club executives, legends of the sport, and emerging talents who are shaping the future of football.

Fans participated in two voting phases across nine primary categories. Categories encompassed include Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Emerging Player, and Best Middle East Player. Additional accolades like Best Agent, Best Sporting Director, the Maradona Award, along with special and lifetime honors, will also be presented during the ceremony.

Paris Saint-Germain, the UEFA Champions League champions, boasts a notable presence among the finalists. Competing for Best Men’s Club, PSG is up against formidable competitors like Barcelona, Chelsea, Flamengo, and Liverpool. Coach Luis Enrique also receives a nomination for Best Coach, alongside Xabi Alonso from Real Madrid, Mikel Arteta from Arsenal, Hansi Flick from Barcelona, and Enzo Maresca from Chelsea. For the Best Men’s Player category, PSG players Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha are finalists alongside Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, Barcelona’s Raphinha, and young star Lamine Yamal.

On the women's front, Aitana Bonmatí from Barcelona Femení and Spain is vying for the Best Women’s Player title for the third consecutive year, competing against Mariona Caldentey, Melchie Dumornay, Alexia Putellas, and Alessia Russo. The Best Women’s Club category also features strong contenders like Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea FC, and Juventus, reflecting the fierce competition in women's football.

Adding to the event's appeal, Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed his attendance. The Al Nassr and Portuguese forward is also nominated for the Best Middle East Player award, competing against Salem Al-Dawsari, Karim Benzema, and Riyad Mahrez, emphasizing the rising prominence of football in the region.

The awards are once again proudly supported by title sponsor BEYOND Developments, continuing their partnership for a second year. Various international brands from luxury, travel, banking, and media sectors are also lending their support to the 2025 edition, reinforcing the event's status as one of football’s premier celebrations.

Moreover, La Liga will take this opportunity during the Dubai event to present its 2024-2025 season awards. Raphinha is slated as Best Player, Hansi Flick as Best Coach, Lamine Yamal for Best Emerging Player, Luka Sučić for Best Goal, and Jan Oblak for Best Save. This all contributes to making the night an expansive celebration of football excellence.
