NASA SpaceX Crew-13 Reaches ISS in Record Time

Post by : Rohit Dhiman

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-13 has reached the International Space Station after completing a remarkably fast journey from Florida. The mission began on October 1, 2026, when a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The Crew Dragon spacecraft carried NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov.

Fastest U.S. Astronaut Launch-to-Docking Time

The spacecraft docked with the space station just 7 hours and 55 minutes after launch, establishing the fastest launch-to-docking time recorded for a U.S. spacecraft carrying astronauts to the ISS. The milestone highlights the efficiency of the crewed flight and the continuing role of commercial spacecraft in human spaceflight.

Six Months of Research in Orbit

The four-member crew is expected to spend approximately six months aboard the station. During their mission, the NASA astronauts will take part in scientific research, technology demonstrations and other activities designed to support future space exploration.
