Pakistan–Bangladesh Direct Flights Resume After 14 Years Historic Dhaka–Karachi Landing

Post by : Shakul

After a gap of nearly 14 years, direct air connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh has officially resumed. Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ inaugural flight from Dhaka landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute. Airport officials also extended a ceremonial and warm welcome to mark the historic moment.

The resumption of this flight service is considered a major step toward strengthening connectivity between the two nations. The direct route will provide easier and more convenient travel options for passengers, reducing travel time and improving accessibility between the two countries.

Officials stated that the new flight service is expected to boost business and trade activities. The improved air connectivity will make it easier for traders and business communities from both countries to expand commercial relations and strengthen economic cooperation.

Experts also believe that the resumed flights will promote tourism and cultural exchange between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The direct connection will help increase people-to-people interaction and encourage travel between the two nations.

The restoration of this service is being seen as a significant development in bilateral relations. Aviation and government authorities have described the initiative as a positive step toward regional cooperation and mutual growth.
