Aldar Partners with Ma’an for Three-Year Social Impact Collaboration

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Aldar has officially announced a three-year strategic alliance with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, reaffirming its dedication to addressing Abu Dhabi’s national social needs. This collaboration aims to implement specific, measurable initiatives that promote community resilience and wellbeing.

The signing ceremony featured His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar, alongside His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development. The agreement was signed by Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Aldar, and His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an.

Key Programs Envisioned Through the Partnership:

  • Blue Collar Activation Programme: Dedicated to enhancing job opportunities for blue-collar workers.

  • Thrive Scholarship Fund: A collaborative effort with Ma’an to broaden support for students.

  • Social Impact Fund: A novel initiative aimed at achieving measurable social advancements.

  • Employee Volunteering & In-Kind Support: Aldar employees will participate in community engagements, while Darna, Aldar’s loyalty platform, will enhance digital social impact efforts.

Talal Al Dhiyebi remarked, “Social impact is foundational to Aldar. Our collaboration with Ma’an exemplifies how private enterprises can provide scalable, inclusive solutions that sync with the UAE's broader societal objectives. We are dedicated to achieving meaningful results across education, employment, and community wellness.”

His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri commented, “This partnership enables Ma’an to continue directing contributions towards initiatives that meet Abu Dhabi’s significant social priorities, ultimately improving residents' quality of life and promoting an inclusive community.”

Since 2020, Aldar's partnership with Ma’an has positively influenced nearly 3,000 individuals through eleven projects addressing healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social welfare. This includes the introduction of the region’s first Social Impact Bonds, which enhanced employment opportunities for local talents and supported families and People of Determination throughout Abu Dhabi.

The collaboration underscores the strength of public-private partnerships in advancing Abu Dhabi’s vision for a sustainable and socially responsible future. Together, Aldar and Ma’an aim to promote innovative social contribution models in line with UAE priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
