Anupam Kher and Ajinkya Rahane Relive a Tumultuous Flight Experience

Anupam Kher and Ajinkya Rahane Relive a Tumultuous Flight Experience

Post by : Meena Ariff

Renowned actor Anupam Kher recently shared an astonishing flight journey with Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, which left them both in disbelief. Anupam took to social media on Monday to unveil that they were on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai together.

In a video clip, he recounted a terrifying encounter when, after landing, the aircraft abruptly ascended again, triggering panic among the passengers. “What a journey from Delhi to Mumbai! I've always respected you as an exceptional player, but your humility and grace astound me even more! I apologize; my language was quite refined until our plane landed and suddenly decided to take off again,” he noted.

With a dose of humor, he added, “That frightening occurrence didn’t allow me the privilege of being a gentleman, and let’s just say a few colorful Hindi words slipped out! The silver lining is that we’ll remember each other for various reasons now! Sending love and prayers! Jai Hind!”

In the footage, Anupam extolled Rahane, saying, “You’re such a fantastic person, and that was quite a ride. The plane landed and lifted off again. I’ll always remember you because of the admiration I hold for you, but now this will stick in my mind forever. Aap toh bade brave ho, bahot kuch hua mere saath. You are an excellent athlete and an even better human being. Blessings to you and your family.” Rahane replied warmly, referring to it as a “lovely encounter.”

Rahane was in Mumbai for the 78th Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament, where he participated in a ceremony honoring senior officials from the Mumbai Police and Mumbai Cricket Association.

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher has an exciting lineup of projects, including an untitled film with Prabhas directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, and a collaboration with esteemed director Sooraj Barjatya, marking his 549th film.
