Anwar Congratulates Xi on CPC's 105th Anniversary

Post by : Shakul

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended congratulations to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese government on the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The message was delivered through an official letter conveying the goodwill of both the Malaysian government and its people.

According to Anwar, the anniversary reflects the long journey of the Chinese ruling party in shaping the country's development through its rich civilization, historical legacy, and enduring national values. He praised China's progress and acknowledged its growing role in regional and global affairs.

Malaysia Recalls Historic Diplomatic Decision

The Prime Minister also highlighted Malaysia's historic decision on May 31, 1974, when it became the first non-socialist nation in Southeast Asia to officially recognize the People's Republic of China. He described the move as one made with foresight and wisdom that laid the foundation for more than five decades of strong bilateral relations.

Anwar said the longstanding friendship between Malaysia and China continues to benefit both countries through cooperation in trade, investment, education, infrastructure, and regional development.

Commitment to Stronger Strategic Partnership

The Malaysian government reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening strategic cooperation with China based on mutual respect, trust, and shared prosperity. Anwar emphasized that closer ties would contribute to regional peace, economic growth, and long-term stability across Asia.

He noted that Malaysia values its partnership with China and remains committed to expanding collaboration in areas that benefit both nations and their people.

Bilateral Relations Continue to Expand

Malaysia and China have maintained close diplomatic and economic relations for over 50 years. Both countries continue working together through various bilateral initiatives, high-level exchanges, and regional platforms that support economic integration and development.

Officials believe continued cooperation will help strengthen connectivity, boost investment opportunities, and reinforce stability across the Asia-Pacific region.

Longstanding Diplomatic Friendship

Anwar's congratulatory message reflects the importance Malaysia places on its relationship with China. The government said it looks forward to maintaining productive engagement and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors while promoting shared regional interests.

The exchange also highlights the continued importance of diplomacy in strengthening bilateral partnerships between neighboring Asian nations.
