Father Denies Bullying Claim After Banting School Stabbing

Father Rejects Social Media Allegations

The father of a 15-year-old student who was stabbed at a secondary school in Banting has denied claims circulating on social media that his daughter had bullied other students. He said the family could not verify the authenticity of viral messages and urged the public to avoid spreading unconfirmed information.

Family Urges Public to Respect Investigation

Speaking outside Banting Hospital, the victim's father said the case should be left to the police for a thorough investigation. He stressed that his family would cooperate with the authorities and would not comment further while the investigation remains ongoing.

Father Describes Daughter as Quiet

According to her father, the teenager is a quiet and reserved student who rarely goes anywhere without her parents. He said she spends most of her time at home and has never shown behaviour that would support allegations of bullying.

Police Continue Attempted Murder Investigation

The stabbing took place at around 9.30 am inside a secondary school in Banting. Police said the 15-year-old suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times before being arrested shortly after the incident. The suspect has been remanded as investigations continue under attempted murder laws.

Authorities Examine Background of Incident

Investigators are looking into all possible motives, including claims circulating online about bullying. Police have not confirmed any connection between the allegations and the attack, and officials continue collecting evidence from witnesses and the school.

Public Asked to Avoid Speculation

Authorities have urged the public to avoid sharing rumours or unverified information that could interfere with the investigation. Officials said only confirmed findings from the police should be treated as accurate while the legal process continues.
