BigBang Singapore Concert Queue Surges Past 300,000 on First Sale Day

BigBang Singapore Concert Queue Surges Past 300,000 on First Sale Day

Post by : Rohit Dhiman

Ticket demand for BigBang’s upcoming Singapore concert exploded on Tuesday (Aug 11), with virtual queue numbers crossing 300,000 shortly after sales opened at noon. The K-pop group's highly anticipated XX: Cosmos concert is scheduled for Oct 17 at Singapore's National Stadium, marking BigBang's return to Singapore after a decade. Fans shared screenshots of their queue positions online, highlighting the intense competition for tickets. Some reports circulating across social media and fan communities indicated queue numbers had climbed beyond 500,000. However, the figures may not represent the actual number of eligible buyers. Tuesday's presale was officially restricted to fans with a VIP membership on the B.stage platform who had also completed a required survey.

Fans report problems during ticket purchase

While many fans waited in the virtual queue, others reported difficulties accessing or completing their purchases. One fan with a queue position of around 8,000 told CNA Lifestyle that the verification option required to finish the transaction did not appear after she entered the ticketing page. She said she was eventually removed from the queue. Ticket availability also changed rapidly during the presale. At around 12.14pm, Ticketmaster notified customers that the VIP Ultimate package had sold out for the presale. Fans were told that more tickets under that package would be offered when general sales opened. The Tuesday presale officially sold out at approximately 3.30pm.

More ticket sales scheduled this week

Fans who missed the first opportunity will have additional chances to purchase tickets. A dedicated presale for Trip.com members is scheduled to begin at 10am on Aug 12. The general ticket sale will follow at 10am on Aug 13 through Ticketmaster. Ticket prices for the Singapore concert range from S$158 to S$498. BigBang, consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, will headline the show at the National Stadium.

BigBang returns to Singapore after 10 years

The concert will be particularly significant for Singapore fans as it represents BigBang's first performance in the country in approximately a decade. The group's previous Singapore appearance was in 2016 during its Made VIP fan meeting tour. The group is also preparing new music. BigBang is scheduled to release its new single Biiig on Aug 19, ahead of the Singapore performance.

XX: Cosmos world tour begins in South Korea

Singapore is one stop on BigBang's wider XX: Cosmos world tour. The tour will begin with three consecutive concerts at Goyang Stadium in South Korea from Aug 21 to Aug 23. Following the South Korean shows, the group is scheduled to take its tour to the United States and Europe.
