CENTCOM Maintains Operations Against Iran for 12th Night

CENTCOM Maintains Operations Against Iran for 12th Night

Post by : Badri Ariffin

In a continuing series of military actions, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported the completion of strikes against Iranian positions at 10:30 p.m. ET on July 22, marking the 12th night of targeted operations.

Strikes Focused on Strategic Military Installations

The recent operations specifically aimed at a range of Iranian military assets, including facilities for missiles and drones, air defense systems, and maritime capabilities.

This initiative is designed to impair Iran's potential to conduct hostile actions against civilian maritime entities and commercial shipping in the area.

Ongoing Land and Maritime Operations

Throughout this month, U.S. forces have executed numerous strikes against Iranian military locations on land. Concurrently, American forces are enforcing a blockade at sea, enhancing their operational strategies.

As of July 22, CENTCOM reported the interception of nine commercial vessels and the disabling of one to control maritime traffic linked to Iran.

U.S. Troops Remain Positioned for Action

Currently, more than 50,000 U.S. troops are deployed throughout the Middle East, with CENTCOM emphasizing that American forces are on high alert and fully prepared as missions proceed across the region.
