China’s automobile exports witnessed a strong rise in the first ten months of 2025, marking a significant step forward for the nation’s automotive industry. According to recent figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the country exported over 5.6 million vehicles during this period, reflecting a 15.7 percent increase compared to the same time last year. This steady growth highlights China’s expanding role as a global automotive powerhouse.
A standout driver behind this surge has been the export of new energy vehicles (NEVs), which include electric cars and hybrids. NEV exports more than doubled with a sharp 90.4 percent jump, reaching 2.01 million units. This impressive rise demonstrates the increasing global demand for cleaner and more sustainable vehicle options, with China at the forefront of this transition.
October alone brought remarkable results, with overall automobile exports climbing 22.9 percent year-on-year. The export of NEVs nearly doubled in that month, soaring 99.9 percent, underscoring the rapidly growing international appetite for China-made electric vehicles. These numbers indicate strong momentum for China’s auto industry as it continues to capitalize on technological advancements and global market trends favoring green energy.
The steady increase in vehicle exports not only boosts China’s manufacturing sector but also reflects the country’s strategic focus on innovation and sustainability within the automotive field. As global markets become increasingly competitive, China’s ability to deliver a high volume of quality vehicles, particularly in the new energy segment, places it in a strong position to shape the future of global mobility.
