Delhi Blast Suspect Assembled Explosives in Public Parking Before Attack

Delhi Blast Suspect Assembled Explosives in Public Parking Before Attack

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Delhi, Nov 19, 2025: Investigations into the tragic Delhi blast have uncovered critical information about Umar Mohammed, also known as Umar un-Nabi, the individual behind the attack near the historic Red Fort. Sources indicate that he assembled explosives for nearly three hours in a public parking lot close to Sunehri Masjid before executing the deadly explosion.

CCTV footage shows that Umar entered the parking area at 3:19 pm and exited at 6:28 pm, with the explosion taking place around 6:52 pm. Notably, during this entire period, he remained inside his vehicle. His planning inside the parked car reveals a calculated approach and a high level of coordination with his accomplices.

Investigators confirm that Umar maintained constant communication with his associates after arriving in Delhi that morning, discussing potential targets. The parking lot was selected for its symbolic importance; however, due to its closure on Mondays, it was almost empty, forcing Umar to redirect his attack to the busy Netaji Subhash Marg, which lies between the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

The explosion resulted in the tragic loss of 13 lives and injuries to 20 others. Sources suggest that Umar acted out of panic, especially following the arrest of his associates, Muzammil and Shaheen, both doctors, in connection with a major explosives bust in Faridabad. Fearing capture, he hastily carried out his plan, detonating his car shortly after leaving the parking area.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working diligently to trace Umar's network and the full scope of his planning. Officials emphasize that mapping his movements is essential for preventing future attacks.

These findings reveal the chilling premeditation behind the Delhi blast and highlight the ongoing threat of terror networks within urban environments. Authorities are utilizing technological evidence, including CCTV and communication analysis, to reconstruct the timeline and ensure improved security measures around key locations.
