Elderly Man Rescued After Arm Gets Stuck in iJooz Machine

An elderly man had to be rescued after his arm became trapped inside an iJooz vending machine in Hougang. The incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 2, and assistance from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was needed to free him.

The unusual incident drew attention from people nearby as emergency responders worked to help the man.

Video Shared on TikTok

Footage of the incident was uploaded to TikTok on Monday, Aug. 3, by a user identified as Yan.

In the caption accompanying the video, Yan wrote, "Uncle's arm got stuck in a self-serve juicer," adding that the incident had taken place on Sunday.

Man Seen With Arm Trapped Inside Machine

The 32-second video showed the elderly man bent over in front of an iJooz vending machine with his forearm trapped inside the unit.

Several police officers were seen standing around him while trying to assist. During the rescue effort, a crowd gathered nearby to watch the situation unfold.

Emergency Response

The man remained at the vending machine while emergency personnel worked to free his trapped arm. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) provided assistance during the incident, helping to safely release him from the machine.

The incident attracted public attention after the video was shared online, showing the rescue operation in progress.
