Farah Khan Ali and Nikitin Dheer Critique Paparazzi’s Lack of Sensitivity

Farah Khan Ali and Nikitin Dheer Critique Paparazzi’s Lack of Sensitivity

Post by : Meena Ariff

Bollywood figures Farah Khan Ali and Nikitin Dheer have condemned the intrusive actions of paparazzi during vulnerable moments for veterans like Dharmendra, Zarine Khan, and Jeetendra.

Their comments, made via social media, have sparked discussions around the ethics of celebrity journalism and compassion in reporting.

Nikitin Dheer Decries Paparazzi’s Behavior

Recently mourning the loss of his father, actor Pankaj Dheer, Nikitin expressed disbelief over the paparazzi's conduct during such painful times.

He remarked:

“Having lost a part of my heart, I observed the shocking behavior of the so-called paparazzi. It feels less like interacting with fellow humans and more like being surrounded by scavengers.”

Nikitin criticized the circulation of a video showing Jeetendra in a vulnerable state, arguing that it was for the sake of social media engagement.

He continued:

“The way they act while Shri Dharmendra is unwell is disheartening. Are we as a society truly only interested in likes and views? Aise samay logon ka tamasha mat banao (Don’t exploit people during such moments).”

He appealed to the public to appreciate the emotional strain faced by families dealing with loss or illness, despite knowing it might not change anything.

Farah Khan Ali Reflects on Humanity

Sharing her feelings, Farah expressed disappointment that people seemed more focused on questioning her mother, Zarine Khan’s cremation, instead of offering condolences.

“Just six days after my mother’s passing, some are more concerned about her cremation choice rather than extending condolences. With Dharm Uncle hospitalized, why does a video of his personal family moments go viral?”

She raised concerns about the lack of empathy towards public figures:

“Are we devoid of compassion as a society? Don’t these public figures also belong to families that feel pain? What has humanity come to?”

Farah cautioned those who are quick to judge, noting that everyone eventually encounters sadness:

“When it’s your moment of grief, trust me, it will come, others will hurt you as you have hurt us.”

  • Zarine Khan, wife of actor Sanjay Khan, passed away on November 7 at the age of 81.

  • She is survived by her husband, daughters Sussanne, Farah, Simone Arora, and son Zayed.

  • Dharmendra was recently admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to health issues and was discharged after treatment.

  • At Zarine Khan’s prayer meet, actor Jeetendra had a slip that was widely filmed and circulated.

Farah Khan Ali and Nikitin Dheer's remarks underscore growing concerns about the lack of boundaries in paparazzi culture. Social media users have echoed their calls for greater sensitivity and respect when celebrities face personal tribulations.
