Get Ready for Goodra the Unrivaled Tera Raid in Scarlet & Violet

Get Ready for Goodra the Unrivaled Tera Raid in Scarlet & Violet

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Trainers in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are on the verge of an exhilarating Tera Raid event featuring Goodra the Unrivaled. This limited-time engagement introduces the Seven-Star Dragon Pokemon, inviting players to refine their skills and enhance their collections.

Originating from Pokemon X and Y, Goodra is a pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokemon hailing from the Kalos region. Renowned for its formidable special defense and diverse offensive capabilities, it evolves from Sliggoo when leveled up in rainy conditions. Legends: Arceus brought Hisuian variations of both Sliggoo and Goodra, incorporating Steel as a secondary type.

Goodra’s move set includes Dragon Pulse, Surf, Poison Tail, and Earthquake, making it a valuable asset in combat. Its abilities—Sap Sipper, Gooey, and Hydration—put trainers to the test, necessitating strategic planning. Notably, Sap Sipper shields Goodra from Grass-type attacks while enhancing its attack power, compelling trainers to think critically.

The Tera Raid event kicks off on Thursday, November 20, at 7:00 PM Eastern, wrapping up on Sunday, November 23, at 6:59 PM Eastern. Players who miss the initial wave will have a second shot from November 27 to 30. During this event, Goodra the Unrivaled will showcase a Water-type Tera form and grant trainers the prestigious Mightiest Mark upon being defeated.

Despite Goodra's robust special defenses, its physical defense is relatively weak. This juxtaposition allows adept trainers to exploit vulnerabilities once its abilities are negated. Moves like Gastro Acid or Skill Swap, which neutralize abilities, prove to be notably effective. Once Goodra’s defenses are compromised, Pokemon such as Iron Hands or Serperior can unleash significant damage to secure the win.

As the community gears up for this dragon-themed challenge, grasping Goodra’s strengths, weaknesses, and potential tactics will be crucial for triumph. This upcoming raid is set to showcase not just individual skill, but also the importance of team synergy, making it a highly awaited event in Scarlet and Violet this November.
