IDF Highlights Weekly Military Operations and Tunnel Destruction

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has issued a report summarizing its military activities from the past week, emphasizing its ongoing efforts to mitigate threats against the State of Israel.

Operations spanned the Northern, Southern, and Central Commands, focusing on bolstering security along Israel's eastern and western borders.

Northern Command: Tunnel Removed and Hezbollah Positions Targeted

Within the Northern Command’s Security Zone, the IDF took action against security threats.

During this phase, troops eliminated an underground terror tunnel situated in Majdal Zoun.

Additionally, Israeli Air Force executed four targeted airstrikes, accusing Hezbollah of breaking the ceasefire. These strikes, aimed at imminent threats, successfully hit three Hezbollah command centers.

Southern Command: Over a Kilometer of Tunnels Neutralized

In the Southern Command, the IDF reported the destruction of underground tunnels extending more than one kilometer.

This operation forms part of a broader campaign to locate and neutralize additional tunnel routes, particularly in the Khan Yunis region.

Approximately 20 terrorists were reportedly eliminated during this week, comprising individuals involved in rebuilding Hamas' military infrastructure and those linked to the October 7 infiltration.

Central Command: Terrorists Arrested and Weapons Seized

Across Judea and Samaria, the IDF conducted numerous operations during this reporting period.

More than 60 terror suspects were detained, including those accused of planning attacks and members of the Hamas terrorist group, along with individuals involved in weapon possession and trafficking.

The IDF disclosed the seizure of around 162,000 NIS identified as terror funding.

In addition, security forces confiscated five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), materials for explosive device manufacturing, incitement material, ammunition, and several firearms, including pistols and M-16 rifles.

Border Security Efforts Ongoing

The IDF reported that operations aimed at thwarting smuggling attempts are ongoing, alongside enhanced defensive measures at Israel's eastern and western boundaries.
