Global Leaders Honor Qatar's Late Father Amir

High-ranking officials and world leaders have visited Qatar's embassies across various nations to convey their heartfelt condolences following the death of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

These visitors expressed deep sympathy for the Qatari populace and leadership, offering prayers for the Father Amir, asking for divine mercy and eternal peace for him.

Tributes from Indonesia

In Jakarta, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto paid his respects at the Qatari Embassy.

Additionally, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka shared his condolences and participated in the absentee funeral prayer at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.

Messages from Cyprus, Ghana, and Brunei

In Nicosia, President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus visited the Qatari Embassy to offer condolences.

Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama conveyed his sympathies at the Embassy in Accra.

Crown Prince Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah of Brunei also visited the Qatari Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan to express his condolences.

Sympathy from the Philippines, Azerbaijan, and Saudi Arabia

In Manila, Vice President Sara Duterte extended condolences at the Qatari Embassy.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan showed his respects by visiting the Qatari Embassy.

In Riyadh, Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited the Qatari Embassy to convey his sentiments.

Abdulmajeed bin Rashid Al Samari, Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs, also offered condolences on behalf of the Saudi Foreign Minister at this embassy.

Condolences from the UK, Türkiye, Dominican Republic, and Mexico

In London, Yvette Cooper, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, visited the Embassy of Qatar to extend her condolences.

In Ankara, Türkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler expressed his condolences at the Qatari Embassy.

In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Francisco Caraballo, paid respects on behalf of his government at the Qatari Embassy.

In Mexico City, Maria Teresa Mercado, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, also conveyed her condolences at the Qatari Embassy.

Global Support for Qatar

The visits by international leaders, including presidents and ministers, illustrate the global solidarity with Qatar in the wake of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani's passing. Mourner's words and empathy are being shared at embassies worldwide, ensuring the legacy of the Father Amir is honored through prayers for his eternal peace.
