Khorfakkan Amphitheatre came alive on Saturday as it hosted the fourth iteration of the Tiger Obstacle Race, drawing in 2,300 adventurers from various ages and backgrounds eager for competition.
Participants could choose from several courses designed for different age groups:
Children (4-9 years): 800 metres
Youth (10-15 years): 1.5 kilometres
Professional: 8 kilometres
Open Category: 4 km and 8 km
Racers encountered thrilling challenges such as rope climbs, ice pools, water slides, and a bell-climbing task, putting their fitness, strength, and stamina to the test.
The top three finishers in both the professional men’s and women’s categories walked away with cash prizes totaling AED 20,000.
His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, emphasized the significance of the race in promoting sports as a lifestyle and highlighted Khorfakkan’s stunning landscape as perfect for such events.
The occasion received support from major government and private sponsors, including Sharjah Civil Defence, Sharjah Police, and Khorfakkan Municipality.
