Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev held a high-level meeting with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates to discuss expanding cooperation in tourism, air transportation, trade, and investment. The talks took place at the Yntymak Ordo Presidential Administration complex in Bishkek.
During the meeting, Kasymaliev highlighted the importance of the UAE as one of Kyrgyzstan’s key economic partners in the Middle East. He reaffirmed the Kyrgyz government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation that can contribute to economic growth and regional connectivity.
A major focus of the discussions was the development of the tourism sector. Both sides examined opportunities to increase tourist flows between the two countries and improve cooperation between tourism authorities, businesses, and investors. Kyrgyzstan aims to further promote its mountain landscapes, cultural heritage, and adventure tourism offerings to visitors from the Gulf region.
The two delegations also discussed expanding air connectivity between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE. Improved aviation links are expected to facilitate tourism, business travel, and trade while creating new opportunities for economic cooperation. Officials emphasized the importance of increasing the number of routes and improving accessibility between major cities in both countries.
Kasymaliev expressed gratitude to the UAE delegation and the management of Air Arabia for their support in assisting the evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens from the UAE in March 2026. In recognition of their contribution, representatives received Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Investment cooperation was another key topic on the agenda. Kyrgyzstan invited UAE investors to participate in large-scale national development projects, particularly in sectors such as tourism infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and other strategic industries. Officials noted that foreign investment remains a priority for supporting long-term economic development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue working closely to enhance tourism development, expand air travel networks, strengthen trade relations, and encourage greater investment cooperation. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to deepening economic ties and creating new opportunities that benefit both countries.
