Malaysia has maintained its position as the world's seventh most powerful passport in the Henley Passport Index 2026, reflecting its continued strong global travel access.
The latest ranking shows that Malaysian passport holders can travel to 183 destinations without obtaining a visa in advance or by receiving a visa on arrival. The result keeps Malaysia among the world's leading passports for international mobility.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2026, Malaysia shares the seventh position with Australia, Canada, Czechia, Latvia, New Zealand, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
The ranking highlights Malaysia's consistent standing among countries that provide broad international travel access for their citizens.
Within Southeast Asia, Malaysia continues to hold the second-most powerful passport in the region.
Singapore retained the top global position in the Henley Passport Index 2026, with its passport providing visa-free access to 192 destinations, making it the strongest passport in the world.
Malaysia's continued presence in the top ten of the Henley Passport Index reflects its stable international travel access, allowing citizens to visit 183 destinations through visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival arrangements.
