The Philippines' Mayon volcano continued releasing lava and rocks during the early hours of Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The agency reported that the volcano's eruption has now continued for 190 consecutive days. Throughout this period, Mayon has produced lava flows, pyroclastic density currents, and rockfalls, showing that volcanic activity remains ongoing.
Phivolcs said Alert Level 3 remains in place for Mayon volcano. Under this alert, entry into the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone is strictly prohibited.
The agency stated that the alert has been in effect since January 2026 and indicates a state of heightened volcanic unrest, with magma located close to the volcano's crater.
Authorities in Albay province are continuing to enforce restrictions around the Permanent Danger Zone to keep people away from hazardous areas.
Phivolcs also confirmed that it is monitoring Mayon volcano around the clock as volcanic activity continues.
