A fire broke out at a three-storey restaurant building in Karon, Phuket, during the early hours of August 3, 2026. Emergency teams responded quickly and brought the blaze under control within 45 minutes. Authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported.

Fire Reported Near Beyond Kata Hotel

The incident was reported at approximately 7:00am at a three-storey building operating as a restaurant under the Sugar Marina hotel group. The property is located next to Beyond Kata Hotel in Karon subdistrict, Mueang Phuket district.

Following the emergency call, disaster prevention and mitigation officers from the Karon Subdistrict Administrative Organisation, along with firefighters, fire engines and water trucks, were dispatched to the location to tackle the fire.

Firefighters Controlled Blaze Within 45 Minutes

Fire crews worked to prevent the flames from spreading and successfully brought the situation under control at around 7:45am. Officials confirmed that the fire did not spread to any nearby buildings.

Initial reports from authorities stated that there were no injuries or deaths as a result of the incident.

Cause of Fire Under Investigation

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and assess the full extent of the damage to the building.

Emergency personnel remained at the site after the fire was extinguished to monitor the area, prevent any possible reignition and carry out a detailed safety inspection.
