Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for an end to the ongoing Ukraine War during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek. The two leaders met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, where regional and international issues were discussed.
During the talks, PM Modi said that India supports every effort aimed at bringing the conflict to an end. India has consistently maintained that dialogue and diplomacy are important for resolving the Ukraine crisis. The meeting also highlighted the importance of continued communication between India and Russia as the conflict remains a major international concern.
The discussions took place in Bishkek, where leaders were attending the SCO Summit. The meeting comes amid continued international efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the war.
The talks also reflected the significance of India Russia Relations, with both countries maintaining long-standing strategic and diplomatic ties. India has repeatedly advocated dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful resolution of international disputes.
