The trailer of the highly anticipated film The Raja Saab was released on September 29, 2025, creating a buzz among cinema lovers. The Telugu horror-comedy stars Prabhas in the lead role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhhi Agerwal in key roles.
The trailer opens with a glimpse of a grand but eerie mansion filled with ghosts, ghouls, and dark secrets. Prabhas is introduced as a fun-loving, carefree man deeply in love with Nidhhi Agerwal’s character. However, his journey takes an unexpected turn when he enters the haunted house, where terrifying events unfold.
Sanjay Dutt, playing the antagonist, makes a striking appearance as a rugged figure with supernatural powers. His eerie look and powerful screen presence add a chilling layer to the story. The mansion itself hides not just spirits but also a treasure once guarded by a king who refuses to let anyone else enjoy his wealth.
The trailer leaves viewers questioning: Is Prabhas the real ghost, or is Sanjay Dutt the one terrorising the mansion?
The Raja Saab trailer uniquely combines humour, magical elements, and gothic visuals. The comedy arises from quirky characters and situational humour, while the VFX highlights the haunted environment, mysterious creatures, and thrilling sequences. The blend of lighthearted fun with supernatural suspense promises an engaging cinematic experience.
Apart from Prabhas and Sanjay Dutt, the film features a strong supporting cast. Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal bring charm to their roles, while Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Riddhi Kumar, Samuthirakani, Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam, Yogi Babu, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Supreeth Reddy, and Jisshu Sengupta add depth and entertainment. The variety of characters ensures a mix of comedy, drama, and horror.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is co-produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla, and Ishan Saksena. The film’s music has been composed by Haman S, while Karthik Palani has handled cinematography. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, known for his sharp storytelling pace.
Though originally made in Telugu, The Raja Saab will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, ensuring a wide reach across India. The film aims to appeal not just to Prabhas’s massive fanbase but also to audiences looking for fresh storytelling that blends comedy with horror.
Prabhas, who was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, now steps into a completely different role. With The Raja Saab, he takes on a mix of humour, romance, and supernatural thrills.
The film is scheduled to release worldwide on January 9, 2026, and expectations are sky-high. With Prabhas’s star power, Sanjay Dutt’s villainous role, and a mix of horror and comedy, The Raja Saab promises to be one of the most talked-about films of 2026.
