Qatar's Firm Rejection of Iran's Attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

Qatar's Firm Rejection of Iran's Attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

Post by : Badri Ariffin

DOHA: Qatar has expressed a strong condemnation of the recent attacks launched by Iran against Kuwait and Bahrain, labeling these actions as blatant violations of national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Qatar's Stance on Sovereignty Violations

In an official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar characterized the military actions as severe breaches of international law and principles outlined in the United Nations Charter. The ministry emphasized how these acts disrupt regional stability and violate the fundamental norms that govern state relations.

Concerns About Escalating Regional Tensions

Qatar cautioned that sustaining military aggressions signifies a perilous escalation that could jeopardize Gulf stability. The ministry noted that ongoing unrest undermines global efforts for de-escalation and could inhibit diplomatic initiatives aimed at fostering peace.

Call for Urgent Ceasefire and Dialogue

The ministry called for an immediate halt to all military activities that jeopardize regional security. Qatar urged all involved parties to refrain from exacerbating the conflict and encouraged returning to peaceful dialogue and negotiations to amicably settle disputes.

Support Extended to Kuwait and Bahrain

Reiterating its position, Qatar expressed unwavering solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain while pledging to back all measures taken to ensure their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.

Commitment to Regional Stability Affirmed by Qatar

In conclusion, the statement underscored Qatar's dedication to fostering diplomacy, peaceful conflict resolution, and adherence to international law. It reiterated that the most effective path to enduring peace and stability in the Gulf lies in constructive dialogue.
