Eleven-year-old Robin Raikkonen, son of former Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen, is set to take an important step in his young racing career. The Finnish youngster has been selected for the Red Bull driver development programme and will officially begin working with the team in 2027. Robin, who is known by the nickname “Ace”, has already attracted attention through his performances in karting competitions. His progress has now earned him a place in one of the most recognised young-driver programmes in motorsport. His father Kimi, who won the 2007 Formula One championship, expressed excitement over Robin's selection. He said the programme would provide his son with valuable experience, guidance and support as he develops his racing abilities.
The Red Bull programme has previously helped several young drivers reach Formula One, including Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.
Robin Raikkonen is the 11-year-old son of 2007 Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen. He is a young Finnish karting driver who will join the Red Bull development programme in 2027.
Robin Raikkonen is from Finland and is beginning his motorsport development through karting before moving toward higher levels of racing.

Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies praised Robin's ability, speed and racecraft. He also stressed that the team intends to develop the youngster gradually and avoid putting unnecessary pressure on him. Kimi Raikkonen remains one of Finland's most famous racing drivers. During his Formula One career, he competed in more than 350 races, won 21 times and collected 103 podium finishes. His 2007 championship remains his only Formula One world title. Robin's selection adds another interesting chapter to the Raikkonen family's connection with motorsport and could mark the beginning of a long journey toward the top level of racing.
