The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has forged a partnership with the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) to enhance regulatory collaboration, supporting the provisions set forth in Law No. (4) of 2021 concerning Dubai's roadways.
This initiative seeks to bolster road safety measures, elevate service levels across the transportation network, and ensure that all developmental undertakings adhere to the established regulations and exemplary standards within the emirate.
The agreement was formalized by Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic & Roads Agency at RTA, alongside Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, representing JAFZA.
Hussain Al Banna emphasized RTA's dedication to enhancing road infrastructure across designated areas, including development and free zones, thereby upholding Dubai’s distinct urban identity and fostering cooperation among critical stakeholders.
He further explained that this agreement lays out a comprehensive framework for effective planning and execution, leading to improved management of road infrastructure and related amenities.
Meanwhile, Abdulla Al Hashmi noted that the alliance bolsters Dubai’s pursuit of superior road safety standards and operational excellence. He also reiterated DP World’s commitment to aligning its development projects with the approved regulations to foster sustainable infrastructure and economic advancement.
RTA has previously entered similar cooperative agreements with several significant developers and free zones throughout Dubai, ensuring synchronized road planning and promoting sustainable infrastructure development throughout the emirate.
