Successful Hajj 1447 Drives Saudi Arabia to Plan Ahead for 1448

MAKKAH — The Minister of Interior and head of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, has commended the effective execution of the Hajj 1447 AH operational and security framework, attributing its success to a unified national effort. The endeavor showcases the Kingdom’s unwavering dedication to facilitating pilgrimages from every corner of the globe.

In a significant meeting held at the Ministry of Interior in Makkah, Prince Abdulaziz extended his greetings and commendations from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to teams from the ministries of Interior, National Guard, Defense, State Security, and General Intelligence Presidency.

This gathering took place on Eid Al-Adha in honor of the successful Hajj security measures, ensuring safety and organized movement for millions visiting the sacred sites.

The Minister indicated that the Kingdom’s robust security and organizational strategies met and exceeded various operational metrics, backed by Saudi Arabia’s resourceful human assets, cutting-edge infrastructure, and innovative technologies. He reaffirmed that the devotion to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors is among the nation's utmost priorities, deeply embedded in a longstanding heritage.

He further pointed out that ongoing enhancements to the Hajj experience reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to not only improving pilgrimage services but also aligning with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030. The advancements seen this season contributed to better crowd management, heightening safety protocols, and enriching services for pilgrims.

Prince Abdulaziz praised the hard work and commitment displayed by both military and civilian personnel throughout the pilgrimage period. He recognized the exceptional level of collaboration among governmental bodies as vital for providing comprehensive security, health, transportation, and logistical services.

He also expressed gratitude to pilgrims and official Hajj delegations from around the world for their collaboration and adherence to safety regulations, which helped ensure a secure and organized pilgrimage experience.

With an eye towards the future, the Minister has instructed all relevant agencies to commence preparations for the upcoming 1448 AH Hajj season, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to proactive planning and persistent enhancement for improved operational readiness.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami, the Director of Public Security and Chief of the Hajj Security Committee, provided an in-depth overview of the security measures implemented. He emphasized the effectiveness of coordinated efforts among involved agencies and the critical role of the Hajj Security Operations Center in tracking developments and managing responses throughout the Hajj.

Al-Bassami remarked that the comprehensive security strategy was instrumental in ensuring safety, crowd control, and fostering a peaceful ambiance for worshippers fulfilling their pilgrimage rituals.

This meeting reinforces Saudi Arabia’s continuous initiatives to elevate Hajj services via strategic planning, advanced technology, and inter-agency collaboration, reaffirming the Kingdom's resolve to provide a secure and seamless pilgrimage experience for millions each year.
