Sharjah Accelerates AI Integration in Government Services

Sharjah Accelerates AI Integration in Government Services

Post by : Badri Ariffin

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has initiated a rapid incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) into government operations.

This initiative aims to boost operational efficiency, elevate the quality of public services, and facilitate the shift towards an AI-driven governance model in Sharjah.

The directive underscores Sharjah’s dedication to a user-focused digital transformation. The emphasis is on leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance governmental performance, provide superior services, foster skilled talent, and solidify the emirate’s digital sovereignty.

His Highness has tasked the Sharjah Digital Department with spearheading the Sharjah AI Assistant Programme. This effort will be undertaken collaboratively with various governmental bodies throughout the emirate.

The programme is geared toward establishing the essential systems and tools, defining top priorities, and facilitating the swift integration of AI assistants in daily government processes.

He has also called for enhanced collaboration with the private sector, academic institutions, and community stakeholders. This partnership aims to foster innovation, ensure sustainability, develop national expertise, and leverage specialized knowledge.

Through this initiative, Sharjah seeks to expedite its digital transformation journey, creating a more efficient, intelligent, and future-ready governance framework.
