On Tuesday, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, welcomed Ambassador Michael Waltz, the US Representative to the United Nations, at Gudaibiya Palace.
In their discussions, HRH Prince Salman underscored the robust and evolving ties between Bahrain and the United States, emphasizing that their collaboration continues to broaden across multiple sectors.
The leaders reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the US, building on existing agreements, particularly the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
HRH Prince Salman acknowledged the vital contribution of the United Nations in fostering international collaboration and facilitating joint efforts among member nations to tackle global challenges. He expressed gratitude for the cooperation among Bahrain, the US, and allied nations through the UN system.
He stressed the necessity of further strengthening this cooperation to bolster global security, stability, peace, and sustainable development.
The importance of Bahrain's partnership with the US in addressing regional security threats and countering Iranian aggression was also highlighted by HRH Prince Salman. He praised the US and its allies for their significant roles in promoting peace and security in the region and beyond.
The meeting encompassed a variety of topics of mutual interest and opportunities for further cooperation, as well as the latest developments on both regional and global fronts.
Attendees included HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court; Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; and Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations.
