Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi, the UAE's Non-Resident Ambassador to Ecuador, met Gabriela Sommerfeld, Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility Minister of Ecuador, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Quito. The objective was to fortify diplomatic relations and broaden cooperation in various domains.
Ambassador Al Alawi conveyed warm greetings from H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Minister Sommerfeld, expressing hopes for Ecuador's ongoing prosperity. In turn, Minister Sommerfeld wished continued success for the UAE and its people.
The officials engaged in discussions centered on enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Ecuador. They underscored the significance of nurturing closer diplomatic, cultural, and economic connections, envisioning a platform for increased dialogue on regional and global issues. Both sides acknowledged the necessity of fostering relations that align with their long-term interests.
A primary focus of the dialogue was the promotion of economic collaboration through trade and investment opportunities.
