Thailand's Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has reviewed the progress of its fiscal year 2026 development plans during an inspection visit to Inspection Region 18 in Nakhon Sawan Province. The delegation was led by Songsak Songsoemudomchai, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, along with senior ministry officials.
Inspection Focuses on Key Government Policies
The visit was conducted to evaluate the implementation of major agricultural policies and ensure projects are progressing according to the government's development plans. Officials held meetings with local authorities before carrying out field inspections at selected agricultural sites across the province.
Premium Cattle Farm Highlights Innovation
One of the inspection sites was Pure Plus Farm Community Enterprise in Pak Nam Pho Subdistrict. The farm uses low-energy plasma technology to develop microorganisms that convert agricultural waste such as rice straw, sugarcane tops, cassava leaves and fruit waste into high-protein livestock feed. The project helps lower farming costs while reducing open-field burning that contributes to PM2.5 air pollution.
High-Value Farming Supports Local Income
Officials also reviewed efforts to increase farmers' income through the One Locality, One High-Value Agricultural Product initiative. The farm raises premium cattle, including Thai Wagyu, produces high-quality beef for leading retailers, and serves as a learning center where farmers, students and government agencies receive training on modern livestock management.
Organic Rice Project Shows Sustainable Growth
The delegation later visited the Ban Bueng Krachang Ngam Community Enterprise in Krok Phra District to assess the government's market-led rice production policy. The community enterprise produces chemical-free organic rice under the D-Rice brand and also processes agricultural products into locally produced spirits while promoting sustainable farming practices and healthier soil management.

Government Continues Agricultural Development
Officials said the inspection reflects the government's commitment to improving agricultural productivity, supporting rural communities and promoting environmentally friendly farming methods. The ministry will continue monitoring development projects to strengthen farmers' incomes and enhance Thailand's agricultural competitiveness.
