UAE Commemoration Day Ceremony in Abu Dhabi Led by Fujairah Ruler

UAE Commemoration Day Ceremony in Abu Dhabi Led by Fujairah Ruler

Post by : Badri Ariffin

On Sunday, the UAE observed Commemoration Day with a poignant ceremony at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, paid tribute to the nation’s courageous martyrs. H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes Affairs, attended the event.

Sheikh Hamad laid a wreath at the memorial, standing in solemn reflection on the bravery and loyalty shown by UAE martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He also bestowed the Martyr’s Medal upon four families of the fallen, honoring their immeasurable contributions and the legacy they uphold.

The ceremony showcased the UAE’s profound respect for its martyrs. Aerial displays featuring fighter jets soared above Wahat Al Karama, forming the shape of the Unknown Soldier to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for the country's safety and stability.

A distinguished gathering of UAE leaders witnessed the event, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; along with other members of the ruling families.

Ministers, high-ranking officials, military leaders, diplomats, and families of martyrs collectively participated in the ceremony, symbolizing the unity and shared pride of the nation.

Commemoration Day serves as a profound reminder of the UAE’s enduring gratitude towards its heroes—those who entrusted everything to ensure the country's future.
