Ukraine Confirms Deep Strikes on Russian Oil Facilities

Ukraine Confirms Deep Strikes on Russian Oil Facilities

Post by : Shakul

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian forces had successfully carried out long-range strikes against Russian energy infrastructure. According to the statement, the attacks targeted an oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar region and two major Bashneft refineries located deep inside Russian territory.

The operation is part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign to weaken Russia's energy and logistics network.

Oil Depot Hit in Krasnodar Region

President Zelensky said Ukrainian forces struck a Russian oil depot located about 300 kilometres from the front line. Officials described the facility as an important fuel storage site supporting logistics and military operations.

The full extent of the damage has not yet been officially confirmed.

Security Service Targets Refineries

Ukraine also said its Security Service (SBU) carried out strikes on the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-Novoil refineries. Both facilities are located approximately 1,500 kilometres from the front line, making them among the deepest reported Ukrainian strikes during the conflict.

The attacks reportedly focused on Russia's energy infrastructure.

Strategic Energy Facilities Under Pressure

Ukraine has repeatedly targeted oil depots, fuel terminals and refinery infrastructure in an effort to reduce Russia's fuel production and supply capacity. Military analysts say such operations are intended to disrupt logistics and increase economic pressure.

Russian authorities had not immediately released a full assessment of the reported strikes.

Conflict Continues to Escalate

The latest attacks come as both Russia and Ukraine continue exchanging long-range drone and missile strikes. Energy facilities have become key targets during the conflict because of their strategic importance to military operations and industrial production.

Both sides continue to strengthen air defence and long-range strike capabilities.

Situation Remains Under Monitoring

Officials are continuing to assess the reported damage at the targeted facilities. Independent verification of the full impact was not immediately available, while the conflict remains active across multiple regions.
