Chrysler Recalls 291K U.S. Cars Over Overheating Risk

Chrysler Recalls 291K U.S. Cars Over Overheating Risk

Post by : Sameer Farouq

Chrysler has announced a significant recall affecting 291,664 vehicles in the U.S. due to a potential safety hazard in the radiator fan’s electrical system. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed that the fault could cause the circuit to overheat, increasing the risk of fire.

The affected models span multiple years and include popular Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. While no injuries have been reported so far, officials emphasize that owners should take the recall seriously to prevent possible accidents or vehicle damage.

The recall involves inspecting the radiator fan circuit and, if necessary, replacing or repairing the component to prevent overheating. Vehicle owners are being urged to check the official NHTSA website or contact their dealerships for guidance and schedule a free repair.

This incident highlights the ongoing need for automakers to maintain rigorous safety checks and the critical role of regulatory oversight in protecting drivers. Industry analysts note that electrical faults in engine cooling systems, while uncommon, can escalate quickly if left unaddressed, making timely recalls crucial.

Chrysler has assured customers that it is working to resolve the issue promptly and is coordinating closely with dealerships nationwide to ensure all affected vehicles are serviced efficiently.
