Deadly Pakistan Blast Kills 14 Officers

Post by : Shakul

At least 14 police officers were killed in northwestern Pakistan after a powerful car bomb exploded near a police post, followed by an armed ambush targeting security personnel who rushed to the scene. The deadly attack reportedly destroyed the police outpost and caused heavy damage in the surrounding area, raising fresh concerns over militant violence and security conditions in the region.

According to local reports, the explosion occurred when a vehicle packed with explosives rammed into the police checkpoint. Moments later, armed attackers opened fire on officers responding to the blast, turning the area into a scene of chaos and destruction. Several police personnel were also injured in the coordinated assault and were shifted to nearby hospitals for emergency medical treatment. Officials said the condition of some injured officers remains critical.

Security forces quickly sealed off the area and launched a search operation following the attack. Authorities are investigating the incident and trying to determine which militant group may have been responsible. The attack is being described as one of the deadliest assaults on police forces in the region in recent months, increasing fears about the growing threat of extremist violence and instability in northwestern Pakistan.
