Post by : Shakul

Pakistan has successfully launched its PRSC-EO2 Earth observation satellite into orbit from a seaborne platform in the South China Sea. The mission was carried out aboard China’s Smart Dragon-3 rocket, marking Pakistan’s first-ever sea-based space launch.

The satellite is designed to enhance Pakistan’s capabilities in land mapping, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and remote-sensing data services. It will provide critical information for scientific, environmental, and disaster management purposes across the country.

This historic launch underscores strong space collaboration between Pakistan and China, paving the way for future joint missions. The sea-based launch demonstrates Pakistan’s growing ambitions in space technology and its commitment to innovation in satellite deployment.

Officials from Pakistan’s SUPARCO space agency confirmed that the mission was executed flawlessly, with the satellite now operational in orbit and beginning its initial testing and calibration phase.

The success of PRSC-EO2 adds to Pakistan’s growing portfolio of space missions and highlights the importance of international partnerships in advancing space research and technology.
