Powerful Suicide Bombing Hits Pakistan Passenger Train

Post by : Shakul

A deadly explosion rocked Pakistan’s Balochistan province after a suspected suicide bombing targeted a passenger train near Quetta, triggering panic and chaos across the area. According to early reports, the powerful blast derailed several train coaches, caused major fires, and left many passengers dead or injured as emergency teams rushed to the scene.

The attack reportedly took place while the train was traveling through a sensitive area near Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan. Witnesses described hearing a massive explosion followed by thick black smoke rising into the sky as damaged train carriages caught fire.

Videos circulating online showed rescue workers and local residents trying to help injured passengers trapped inside damaged compartments. Ambulances, firefighters, and security personnel quickly arrived at the location to begin rescue operations and shift the wounded to nearby hospitals.

Authorities stated that both civilians and security personnel were among those affected by the blast. Several train coaches were heavily damaged, while parts of the railway track were reportedly destroyed due to the intensity of the explosion.

Reports suggest that the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist militant group active in the region, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group has previously carried out attacks targeting security forces, infrastructure, and transportation networks in Balochistan.

Pakistan’s political and military leadership strongly condemned the incident and promised strict action against those responsible. Officials described the attack as an attempt to create fear and instability in the region and vowed to continue counterterrorism operations.
