His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with Wang Chuanfu, the Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of BYD, at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
The discussion revolved around enhancing collaboration and the exchange of knowledge in electric and hybrid vehicle production. They explored opportunities for developing a sophisticated industrial ecosystem that would stimulate economic growth and attract premier global enterprises to key sectors of the national economy.
Additionally, both parties evaluated strategies to bolster sustainability initiatives and facilitate the transition to eco-friendly mobility solutions that utilize alternative energy sources. These initiatives are in harmony with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategy and reflect its dedication to balanced development that harmonizes environmental and economic goals at local, regional, and global stages.
The meeting also included Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince.
