Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has called her upcoming film Alpha her “first action film,” comments that quickly sparked discussions on social media. She made the remark during her appearance at the Gucci Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Show at Milan Fashion Week.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha stars Alia Bhatt alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol and is scheduled to release on December 25, 2025. Bhatt, who is also Gucci’s global brand ambassador, expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “Wow, it’s pretty close. That’s a big one for me because it’s my first venture into action, and I’m really curious to see how the audience connects with that.”

Fans and social media users quickly reacted to her statement, pointing out that Alia has performed action sequences in earlier films, including Jigra, Heart of Stone, Shaandar, Sadak, and Kalank. Many questioned why these were not considered part of her action filmography.

Alpha is the seventh installment in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe and continues Alia Bhatt’s collaboration with top Bollywood actors. She is also working on another major project, Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal and is set to release in 2026.

As anticipation builds for Alpha, fans and critics are eager to see how Alia Bhatt manages her first full-fledged action role, adding another milestone to her successful career in Bollywood.
