Bigg Boss 19 has produced its usual mix of friendships, tensions and emotional turns. One connection that drew attention during the season was the camaraderie between actor Baseer Ali and model Nehal Chudasama — a relationship that now appears to have strained following their exit from the show.
In a recent conversation with the media, Baseer Ali said he felt hurt after coming across video clips that suggested Nehal spoke unfavourably about him off-camera. The actor, who had shared close moments with her inside the house, said he now prefers to keep some distance.
“I watched a few clips where Nehal, despite calling herself my friend, didn’t stand up for me. There were instances when Farhana said unpleasant things about me and Nehal chose not to respond,” Baseer explained.
He described the situation as a betrayal that left him disappointed.
“Toh yeh dono (Nehal and Farhana) jab mere friends the aur mere peeth peechhe aisi baatein kar rahe the, toh yeh kahe ki dosti hai? Toh dono se mein thoda upset hoon... but Nehal se abhi mein thoda gussa hoon, toh I want to take my time and maintain distance,” he added.
Baseer also reflected on how his family viewed his on-screen bonds, saying his mother commented on the dynamics he shared with Nehal and Farhana.
He noted,
“It’s not that my mom dislikes Farhana or Nehal. She has spoken well of both. What bothered her was seeing me involved in those so-called 'angles'.”
According to Baseer, his mother found his interactions with Farhana funnier and more light-hearted, while the portrayal of his relationship with Nehal felt negative to her.
“My mom said she didn’t enjoy the way I was repeatedly tagged with Farhana. She thought our moments were entertaining, but the Nehal angle came across poorly and she didn’t like it,” he said.
After the two were eliminated from the show, viewers noticed that Baseer and Nehal had unfollowed each other on Instagram, prompting speculation about their current relationship. The situation intensified when Nehal reshared a fan post that criticised Baseer.
Once close inside the Bigg Boss house — sharing laughs, emotional support and companionship — the pair now seem to be in a fragile place, according to Baseer’s remarks.
He emphasised that he needs space to reflect and is not rushing into reconciliation, leaving fans uncertain about whether their friendship can be repaired.
Baseer Ali rose to fame with roles in Kundali Bhagya and appearances on reality shows such as Roadies and Splitsvilla, building a solid fan following before Bigg Boss 19.
Nehal Chudasama, a model and former Miss Diva Universe 2018, attracted attention in the house for her confidence and screen presence.
