BN Pledges Housing and Tourism Boost for Senggarang

BN Pledges Housing and Tourism Boost for Senggarang

Post by : Shakul

Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Senggarang state seat, Mohd Yusla Ismail, has pledged to continue several long-term development initiatives if he is re-elected in the upcoming Johor state election. His campaign focuses on expanding affordable housing opportunities for young families and unlocking the tourism potential of the constituency to create sustainable economic growth.

Speaking during a community programme in Batu Pahat, Mohd Yusla said these proposals are not new election promises but part of development plans that were identified and initiated during his previous term as the elected representative. He stressed that the projects are intended to improve residents' quality of life while supporting long-term community development.

Affordable Housing Remains Top Priority

Mohd Yusla said one of his key priorities is helping more young people become homeowners through the Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) programme. He explained that eligible applicants should be able to benefit from a simpler and more efficient online application process, making home ownership more accessible for first-time buyers.

According to him, several suitable locations within Senggarang have already been identified for future RMMJ housing developments. He believes the initiative will reduce the financial burden on newly married couples and young families who currently depend on renting or living with relatives.

What are BN's main promises for Senggarang?

BN candidate Mohd Yusla Ismail has pledged to continue affordable housing projects through the Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) programme while accelerating tourism development across several coastal attractions. His campaign also focuses on improving public infrastructure, supporting local businesses and creating more opportunities for residents.

How will the housing plan benefit young people?

The proposed housing initiatives aim to help young families purchase affordable homes through the RMMJ scheme. Mohd Yusla said the application process will be made easier using digital services, allowing more eligible residents to secure permanent housing and reduce long-term living costs.

Three-Cornered Contest in Senggarang

The Senggarang state seat will witness a three-cornered contest in the Johor state election. Mohd Yusla Ismail of Barisan Nasional will face Onn Abu Bakar from Pakatan Harapan and Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon representing Perikatan Nasional.

Polling for the Johor state election is scheduled for July 11, while early voting will take place on July 7. Candidates are continuing campaign activities across the constituency to present their development agendas to voters.

Campaign Focuses on Local Development

As campaigning continues ahead of polling day, candidates are highlighting constituency-specific projects designed to improve living standards and economic growth. Housing affordability, tourism investment and infrastructure upgrades are expected to remain among the key issues influencing voter decisions in the Johor state election.
