Cairo, the capital of Egypt, is set to stage the 15th round of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses at the Gezira Equestrian Club. This prominent sporting event underscores the strong friendship and shared cultural heritage between the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt, while celebrating their commitment to the magnificent Arabian horse breed.

More than a mere competition, this race symbolizes the enduring historical bonds that unite these two nations. The UAE’s unwavering support for equestrian sports in Egypt highlights its dedication to preserving Arab heritage and enhancing diplomatic ties through sporting initiatives.

The upcoming event will showcase seven thrilling races featuring 59 horses from prestigious local stables, showcasing the thriving enthusiasm of Egyptian breeders and owners who actively back this annual event. The main race spans 1600 meters and will include elite Purebred Arabian horses like Bareeq Al Amal, Monadel Saafan, Fahd Al Ameen, Deban Al Tahawia, Rawi, and Al Mashhoor.

Moreover, six supporting races will take place, each sponsored by notable UAE organizations, including Mubadala, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. These will present various categories for fillies and colts, highlighting the remarkable talent within Egypt’s Arabian horse racing scene.

Musallam Al Amri from the Higher Organising Committee remarked that hosting the 15th round reflects the UAE’s profound respect for the profound historical significance of the Arabian horse. He noted that this Cup is designed to bolster Egyptian breeders, encourage wider participation, and honor the shared legacy of this esteemed breed. The UAE President’s Cup Series continues its mission to uphold the heritage and international reputation of the Purebred Arabian horse.
