Bareilly: Right-wing activist and commentator Charlie Kirk, who was tragically assassinated earlier this month, had advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on strengthening Israel’s global image and countering rising anti-Israel sentiment. In a detailed seven-page letter, Kirk emphasized the importance of winning the “information war” rather than relying on intermediaries in the United States.
Kirk highlighted a growing “anti-Israel sentiment” among Gen Z, which he observed during his interactions with students and young people on college campuses. He also pointed to a notable rise in anti-Israel and anti-Semitic trends on social media, warning that such developments could reduce American support for Israel.
“My team and I have spent months analyzing these trends and debating strategies to help Israel counter misinformation and improve its global image,” Kirk wrote. He urged Netanyahu to create a rapid response media team similar to President Trump’s White House Rapid Response 47 team, staffed with pro-Israel experts capable of fact-checking misinformation in real-time.
Kirk suggested using released hostages in the conflict for a speaking tour across the US, allowing Americans to hear firsthand experiences from ordinary Israelis. He also recommended that Israel showcase the threats it faces from countries like Iran while emphasizing its strong alliance with the United States.
“The Holy Land is deeply important to me, and it pains me to see support for Israel decline,” Kirk wrote, stressing that a new approach was needed to present Israel as a reliable partner to America and a member of “Team Humanity.” He warned that failing the information war could lead to reduced political and military support from the US.
Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested in connection with the shooting and faces the death penalty for aggravated murder.
