Tech billionaire Elon Musk has been named in the newly released Jeffrey Epstein files, alongside other well-known figures such as Bill Gates and former Trump ally Steve Bannon. The documents, released by Democratic lawmakers, include a six-page itinerary from Epstein’s calendar, highlighting a tentative trip by Musk on December 6, 2014, to Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands, where multiple women have accused Epstein of sexual abuse. A note next to Musk’s name read, “Is this still happening?” although it is not confirmed whether Musk actually made the visit.
Musk has strongly denied the allegations, posting on X that the claims are “false.” The documents also mention other planned engagements, including a breakfast with Steve Bannon on February 16, 2019, and a tentative meeting with Bill Gates on December 5, 2014.
Democratic lawmakers have urged the US Justice Department to release all remaining Epstein files, calling for complete transparency in the investigation. The Trump administration has previously stated that there is no “client list” in the records, contradicting ongoing conspiracy theories that Epstein used blackmail to manipulate powerful individuals, including politicians and business leaders.
Musk has been vocal about the delay in releasing the documents. In earlier posts on X, he suggested that former President Trump’s name appeared in the files, which could explain why the documents have not been publicly disclosed. He later admitted that his post “went too far” but continued to call for the release of electronic records and other case files related to Epstein.
Weeks after leaving his advisory role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) following disagreements with Trump, Musk continued to pressure authorities, emphasizing the importance of public access to Epstein-related information. He questioned whether electronic records exist in government or private systems showing who traveled on Epstein’s plane to the US Virgin Islands and urged that all files promised for release be made available without delay.
This latest disclosure adds to public scrutiny surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s network and the high-profile individuals linked to him. It raises questions about transparency, accountability, and the ongoing investigation into Epstein’s criminal activities. Legal experts and lawmakers continue to call for full disclosure of the files to ensure justice for the victims and prevent potential misuse of influence by powerful figures.
The controversy highlights how high-profile names associated with Epstein continue to attract media and public attention, with tech leaders, politicians, and businessmen under increasing scrutiny. As the investigation progresses, the release of additional documents could provide further insights into the connections and activities surrounding Epstein’s criminal enterprise.
